Golden Isles: Coastal Georgia has some of the most scenic beaches in the south…dotted with tall palms, wild horses and undisturbed beaches. There are plenty of hotel and restaurant options here and you can check out the different islands to determine how remote you really want to be.
Outer Banks: The famed Outer Banks are just as remote as they’re rumored to be and there’s a lot of relaxation to be had here. From Jockey’s Ridge national park to the plethora of eastern Carolina BBQ joints there’s a lot to see and do in the part of the country.
Coastal SC: Everyone’s heard about Charleston but what about the great beach communities surrounding it? Check out Folley Beach, Sullivan’s Island and even Pawley’s Island, all just a hop skip and jump away from the city life in Charleston but lots more tranquil.
